Just wanted to let you know I really had a great time with the surfboard. Timing was perfect! It got there just before I arrived at the hotel, and the board was probably still wet from my morning surf session when it was picked up at the end of my stay. It worked great for me alone, and I even caught some waves with my 5 year old twins (one at a time) on the nose.
I will certainly be recommending you to other surfers I know headed to Hawaii and will use you again in the future.

This is my 2nd time using Hawaii Surfboard Rentals and I was very stoked on the 8'6'' mini-long board that Dan selected for me! I took it to Diamond Head twice when there was an overhead southeast swell running and the board was able to make some steep drops and also easy to turn. Perfect for my 197 lb weight. Dan also goes the extra mile to recommend surf spots AND provide printed directions, such as White Plains Beach on the westside. The other people at HSR are real friendly and the delivery service is really prompt and accommodating. Last winter when I weighed less I got barreled on an inside 10ft. face at Sunset on one of HSR's surfboards! Much Mahalo!

This is my second time using Hawaii Surfboard Rentals services, and just like the first time, the service was outstanding. I landed in Honolulu at 11 AM, got to the hotel at 1 PM. The board was already waiting for me, along with wax and leash. By 3 PM, I was paddling out. The boards are like new, and there are many different models to choose from. There is no time wasted looking for a board, just like if you had your own. The board was picked up right before my departure. Service couldn't be better ! I highly recommend! Mahalo Dan!

Since I am familiar with the hassle and prices of renting at the beach in Santa Cruz, I loved the idea of a surfboard being dropped off and picked up right at my hotel on Waikiki beach, and the price was right. The first day on the waves I ran into a surf instructor who noticed that I would probably do better on a longer board. I called Dan in the afternoon and he delivered a new board to me, no problem! Not only did I save money and hassle by not shipping my own boards but also Dan's friendly, enthusiastic advise on where to surf and what to expect made the whole experience a real pleasure. So close, Yet so far away
Staying all the way up at the North Shore we were wondering how we would find affordable surfboards to rent. Also, as semi-experienced surfers, we weren't interested in soft-tops or other low quality boards. Hawaii Surfboard Rentals solved both those problems with a click of the mouse! Our boards arrived at our cottage right when we did, they were completely affordable, and they were perfect for our skill level. Renting boards through Hawaii Surfboard Rentals allowed us to surf all over the island with ease. When we come back to Oahu, we are definitely renting with them again.

When the waves got smaller, and I wanted a bigger board, a quick call was all that was needed to make a new board appear in my hotel's surfboard rack. Hawaii Surfboard Rentals IS the way to go if you need a board on Oahu! We were staying in a private residence outside of Haleiwa on the North Shore and Dan found it no problem. We had an 8 a.m. to noon delivery time and Dan was there first thing! It wasn't like the cable guy showing up at 11:59. In fact, Dan was even willing to drop off the boards the night before so we would have them first thing in the morning. Unfortunately, unlike Dan, we had trouble finding our rental house and couldn't coordinate a time to meet.
Not only that, but Dan was extremely flexible with us while we were on the island. On our pick-up day we had a noon to 4 p.m. pick-up slot and we asked to shoot closer to 4 to allow more time with the boards and Dan was glad to accommodate. Plus, the equipment was great. I actually had a brand new 9'2" NSP that was hard to give back. There is just a certain pride a surfer gets from waxing a brand new board. It was the blank canvas we needed on which to paint our perfect Hawaiian vacation!
All in all, an A+. Thanks for making our trip seamless!

Qantas are now charging $146 aus. to transport a longboard from Sydney to Honolulu and that includes business class passengers..add the cost of transportation from airport to Waikiki and the hassles and concern about damage or loss it makes good sense to book a board thru the internet.The service provided to me by Hawaii Surfboard Rentals left nothing to be desired. Working with Hawaii Surfboard Rentals created the most odd experience I have ever had while going on a surf trip. It was the first time where getting a board I liked to surf on was actually one of the easiest things I did on the trip. Normally, I am jamming my boards through LAX airport, paying ridiculous transfer fees, then praying my boards return home in one piece (which they rarely do).

a great way to try a board I've been thinking of buying.
The service was top notch - friendly, easy to engage,
timely and convenient. Now - here's my unique part - if
you have a little surf experience under your belt, you're
thinking of staying in Waikiki and renting a board - don't
let the rumors of a ugly locals scene in the water deter
you. I was on a popular break with a mix of short and
long boards. Most of the crew of 20 to 25 in the line-up
knew each other to varying degrees. The surf was good
and getting better. Guys and gals went out of their way
to ask me about my background and if I was having a good
time. On a couple of occasions - some of the older guys
said; "Hey - Arizona (that's the nick name I got),
paddle into this one. Don't miss it!" The message
was clear to all the grommets - share it up a bit. It
was way cool. Also - watching the young talent put on
their show from the channel was a real treat.

can I say!. I came to the Islands hoping the board I had

did it turn up on time, it was straight out of the box,
brand new, not even being waxed up for the first time.
This was the 9'6" Walden Magic Model, the same board
I have at home. You told me this was the board you would
have for me and even called me on my cell in Florida to
tell me the board had arrived. You said you would be at
the hotel 2.00 pm Friday to pick up the board and you

using the Internet technology I quickly found an outfit
called Hawaii Surfboard Rentals and I called them up.
They not only dropped off the board at the hotel but also
will be picking up the board on the day of departure at
6:00 AM. Perfect! I can do a DP before taking off back
for SFO for the noon flight! So I got 9'2 NSP board. Now
I can go surfing in anytime I want and as often as I want!
